Shepherding Elders

The Shepherding Elders meet monthly and perform the following duties: 

Pastoral Care: Determine and oversee the system of pastoral care.

Shepherding Ministries: Oversee and encourage those charged with the shepherding ministries.

Care Ministry: Work with the Care Ministry of Covenant Life so that needs are met within the congregation and the community.

Prayer: Regularly pray for the needs of the congregation.

Contact: Maintain regular contact with the congregation of Covenant Life Church.

Profession of Faith: Hear profession of faith for young adults and new Christians.

Records: Provide information to CLC administrative staff in order to maintain accurate records on the membership of Covenant Life.

Restorative Care: Oversee the restorative care of wayward members.

Communion: Oversee the regular celebration of communion.

Reports: Report to the Governing Board quarterly and share minutes monthly.

Classis: Provide appropriate contact with Classis.
