Reading the Bible is among life's greatest privileges. Reading the Bible takes more than literacy and good mental and physical health. It also takes hard-won and easily lost liberty. It also takes hard-won and easily lost spare time, after earning a living, caring for young children, elderly parents, and sick neighbors, and keeping up the home. With time and energy so precious, you want your Bible reading to be especially uplifting, insightful, and inspiring. Follow one of these plans, and you may just find your Bible reading to be more fruitful. You may also just find yourself drawing closer to Christ.

Lent Bible Reading Plan
Our Lent sermon series is From Egypt to Easter. In this series we’ll explore a variety of themes that tie the Israelite Exodus out of Egypt and into Canaan with Jesus’ journey toward a cross on Calvary, and resurrection on Easter Sunday. Here is a corresponding Bible Reading Plan that begins on Ash Wednesday and goes through Easter (excluding Sundays). The plan does not exactly parallel the sermon themes we will cover in our Lent sermon series, but the daily readings will most certainly inspire and prepare you as we journey toward Easter.
